After almost 5 inches of rainfall in 3 hours yesterday (see my previous post), stopping traffic in its tracks, a flood of tweets appeared on Twitter. Here’s just one:
“It’s sad to say, but there’s no fixing Recife traffic. There’s nothing that can be done to stop the chaos.”
NETV yesterday published a 3-minute video (PT) under on their new Mobility series where they talk about how “specialists say that creating new roads won’t solve the traffic problem”. In my reviews of Recife in the 20s, I’ve also come across several articles (here’s one, in PT) complaining of traffic problems back then.
