“The indie TV show Pé na Rua, created by Ateliê Produções, shows the greater Recife region via different angles. It’s a program that doesn’t reinforce stereotypes. It has the accent of the people, the voice of the people and the color of the people. The program gives a voice to the population that lives on the outskirts of town and who, in general, don’t have a way to show what they think and how they live.
Directed and hosted by the human rights defender Ivan Moraes Filho, the program is always recorded in different places, adopting a laid-back and easy-going format to discuss subjects that are even sometimes controversial. In its televised version, Pé na Rua is divided into three segments and is 30 minutes long.”
Looking at their most watched videos via their Youtube channel, there were two in particular from the Nossa Cara segments that caught my attention so I’ll post them below.
