Coalho cheese and “honey”

A little visual treat from Pernambuco.com…

“After lunch, there’s nothing better than coalho cheese with melado de cana”
Depois do almoço, nada melhor que um queijo coalho com mel de engenho.

(Correction: I had written ‘honey from the mill’ as a direct translation of ‘mel do engenho’. In fact, the term used in Portuguese (mel de engenho) is the same as ‘melado de cana’, which is boiled down cane sugar and water. The picture and terminology threw me off since it looks like honey and contains the word ‘mel’, or honey. Just to confuse things, there also exists a ‘melado’ from honey, too.)
