Trip through Brennand’s mind

Take a trip through the reclusive sculptor Francisco Brennand‘s mind in this short documentary (in PT) titled “Brennand – De Ovo Omnia” which won best film, direction and sound at the 2001 Recife Cinema Festival. A short synopsis follows…

“Francesco Brennand guides us on a fascinating voyage through his controversial imaginary universe, where human tragedy, pain, suffering and sexuality are represented in a magnificent spectacle of forms. Lakes, totems, columns, high walls made in ceramic, they form an ensemble with the magic of old temples, in the middle of a large preserved area of the Atlantic forest that lies on the margins of the Capibaribe river.”
